Obituary of William D. Cornell
William �Bill� D. Cornell, age 80 of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2008.
He was born March 22, 1928 in Edna, Kansas, the son of William �Billy� Owen and Cora Fern (Dewey) Cornell.
At age 17, Bill joined the United States Navy and served on a PT Boat during World War II.
On November 27, 1953, he was united in marriage to Deloris �Dee� Gillispie. Together they shared the past 55 years. They founded Big �C� Machine Co., Inc. in Camdenton, Missouri in 1977.
Bill was a member of Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church of Urbana, Missouri. Besides his passion for being a machinist, he loved raising cattle on his ranch in Macks Creek, Missouri.
Bill was the loving father of son David Lee and wife Brenda of Easton, Oregon; son Richard Dale and wife Deborah of Raymore, Missouri; daughter Sandra Leheney of Lee�s Summit, Missouri and step-son Terry Page and wife Juli of Tigard, Oregon. Bill was the loving grandfather of Kristina and Robert Fielder; Heather and Terry Williams; Matthew and Kristine Cornell; Tony and Cindy Cornell; Christopher Leheney and Trevor Leheney and loving great-grandfather to Aubrey, Alexandra, Elizabeth, Kaitlynn, Abbigail and Jacob.
Bill is survived by his two brothers Gene and Jack.
Bill will be greatly missed by several other friends and relatives as well as his four �damn� cats.
