Obituary of Terry Alvin Taylor

Terry Alvin Taylor, age 65, of Rocky Mount, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, November 28, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born September 30, 1943 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, a son to Alvin L. and Mary (Hensley) Taylor. On March 27, 1965, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Hosch. Terry had served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Terry graduated from Wyandotte High School, Kansas City, Kansas in 1961. He later went to work for General Motors in St. Louis, Missouri, retiring in 1994 after 31 years of service. After retirement he moved to Lake of the Ozarks and worked for The Lodge of Four Seasons at the Executive Golf Course and then as a Real Estate Agent for Ed Sanning Real Estate. Terry was an avid golfer and found pleasure in boating and related activities at the lake. He loved to cook, especially Thanksgiving dinner, but more than anything, family focused activities brought much happiness to his life. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, a son David Alan and grandson Skyler. He leaves to mourn, his wife Kathleen (Hosch) of 43 years; sons Kevin and Justin, both of Lake Ozark, Missouri; grandson Dylan of Kansas City; brother Steve and wife Sherrell of Moore, Oklahoma; sister Rhonda Mims and husband Maurice of Weleetka, Oklahoma; aunts Jeanne Taylor of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and Nellie Apple and husband Clancy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Friends and family are welcome at Terry and Kathy's home for celebration of his life following the service.
