Obituary of Denny L. Hayes

Denny L. Hayes, age 72, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, Missouri, with his wife Joan by his side. He was born July 27, 1936 in San Francisco, California, the son of the late Edgar and Ivy Hayes, who raised him on the family farm in Bernie, Missouri. After graduating high school he moved to Elgin, Illinois where he met and married Joan in 1958. After more than 30 years of employment with Jewel Food Stores, he retired to the Lake of the Ozarks. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Christy Hayes of Liberty, Missouri; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Denise Hayes of Pittsburg, Kansas; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Steve Box of St. Paul, Missouri; two brothers, Sheril Hayes of Paducah, Kentucky and Jim Hayes of Malden, Missouri; a sister, Jean Foust of Jackson, Missouri and nine grandchildren.
