Obituary of Jimmy F. Parrack

Jimmy F. Parrack, age 72, of Macks Creek, Missouri, departed this life Friday, January 23, 2009 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born August 12, 1936 in Macks Creek, Missouri, a son to Fred and Lola (Lynch) Parrack. He grew up in Macks Creek where he attended school and graduated from Macks Creek High School in 1954. He had served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was united in marriage on July 31, 1959 in Macks Creek to Barbara (Mackey) and together they had shared the last 49 years until his passing. Jimmy had spent most of his life dairy farming, loving every minute of it. He had also worked for a time at Howard Construction in Sedalia, Missouri. He served for 15 years on the Macks Creek School Board and enjoyed attending basketball games, cheering for his team. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Macks Creek where he served as a Deacon and as Director of Youth. Church was a very important aspect of his life and he loved to talk with people about Salvation. Most importantly he loved his family, his children and his grandchildren dearly and was always there for them. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish forever the memories he created for his family and friends. Jimmy is survived by his wife Barbara of the home; two sons, Mark Parrack and wife Christi of Macks Creek, Missouri and Craig Parrack and wife Shelly also of Macks Creek; one daughter, Leah Rich and husband Doug of Macks Creek, Missouri; two brothers, Jerry Parrack and wife Pat of Macks Creek, Missouri and Tom Parrack and wife Judy also of Macks Creek; one sister, Jane Weaver and husband Bob of Plato, Missouri; sister-in-law, Laurietta Parrack of Roach, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Peggy Peterman, Malissa Goodwin, Amanda Smith, Andy Parrack, David Parrack, Tyler Saultz, Chandler Saultz, Kami Parrack and Taylor Rich; two great-grandchildren, Julia Peterman and Durrell Goodwin along with several other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, one brother Jack Parrack, and two sisters Wila Lee Parrack and Willeta Carter.
