Obituary of Virginia Simmons

Virginia Sue �Ginny� Simmons, age 68, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Janauary 31, 2009 at her home in Camdenton with her animals, husband and daughter present. She was born February 12, 1940 in Rockport, Illinois, a daughter to Kennedy and Frances (Hedges) Long. She completed her nurses training at Blessing Hospital in 1961. She married Raymond �Bud� Simmons on February 1, 1962 and raised two children, Paul and Kathy. Ginny resided in St. Louis, Missouri for 30 years before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks, as she loved being close to water. Ginny was a terrific artist, wife, mother, friend of Lois W and never turned her back on anyone or animal in need. Her spirit lives on through all those she touched along her journey. Celebration of Life Services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the �Sea Chase� room at Lodge of the Four Seasons, Lake Ozark, Missouri. In lieu of flowers she would prefer contributions to Dogwood Animal Shelter, 1075 Runabout Drive, Osage Beach, Missouri.
