Obituary of Manuel McDowell

Manuel (Mike) E. McDowell, age 77, of Rocky Mount,Missouri, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born on January 20, 1932 in Kaiser, Missouri, a son to Charley and Lillian (Lake) McDowell. Mike graduated from School of the Osage in 1949 and later served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was self-employed, working as a salesman for most of his life. He was crazy about his Rothweilers and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and quail hunting. He is survived by a daughter, Kelly Bills; one brother, Charles McDowell of Osage Beach, Missouri; one sister, Desta Shaw of Alexandria, Virginia as well as several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
