Obituary of James H. Gonnella

James H. Gonnella, age 79, of Brumley, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born December 1, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son to Christopher and Mary (Chacey) Gonnella. James served his country proudly both in the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He was employed for over 20 years by McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri as a jet fighter mechanic. James enjoyed fishing and hunting and had been involved in the sport of racing homing pigeons. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed time spent with them. James professed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1998. He is survived by his wife Gail Gonnella; his son, Michael Gonnella and wife Cynthia of Brumley, Missouri; his step-son Jeff Boston; five grandchildren, Jamie, Barbara, Christian, Timbre and Aubrie and one great-grandchild, Kayley, along with several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
