Obituary of Zane Worth Murphy

Zane Worth Murphy, age 85 of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009 at his home in Camdenton. Zane was born Feb 22, 1924, in Topeka, Kansas, a son to Douglas Worthy and Ethel (Lungrid) Murphy. In August 1979 he was married to Doris Brewster. Zane had served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was an Insurance Agent in the Camden County area for many years and was well thought of in the profession. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and building items of different sorts. He loved to golf and had a 3 handy cap at Lake Valley Country Club in Camdenton. Zane was a member of the Community Christian Church of Camdenton. He was a 32 degree Mason and also a member of the Shriners. �He was a loving Father and caring Dad.� Zane is survived by his wife Doris of the home; four children, James Hodshon and wife Carolyn of Linn Creek, Missouri, Pete Hodshon of Tucson, Arizona, Fred Hodshon of Orange County, California and Rorry Murphy and his wife Cheryl of Lees Summit, Missouri and Lyndia Hallock-Messner and her husband Dan of Overland Park, Missouri; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild along with several other relatives and friends. Zane was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
