Obituary of Harold E. Cisna

Harold E. Cisna, age 88 of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born November 26, 1920 in Gladstone, Illinois, a son to Clarence (Cal) and Eva (Fryer) Cisna. He joined the Navy in 1938 and was a World War II Veteran on the U.S.S. Catoctin. Harold was brought up working in his father�s grocery store in Gladstone and later owned �Harold�s Country Store� in Mt. Union, Iowa. He worked for Hy-Vee Food Stores for more than 25 years, and then retired to the Lake of the Ozarks area. He was an avid golfer and member of Lake Valley Country Club where he had his first hole in one on the 13th green in November of 1993. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Camdenton, the Elks Club, and the Shriners. Harold was also a member of the Royal Arch Masons of Iowa for 56 years. He is survived by four daughters, Karen Fort and her husband Norm of Fillmore, California, Sandra Agvald of St. Paul, Minnesota, Deborah Crews and her husband Gary of West Des Moines, Iowa and Kimberly Cisna Thompson of Des Moines, Iowa; nine grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; two step sons, Phil Bown and wife Sharon of the state of Ohio and John Bown and wife Kim of the state of Minnesota along with several other relatives and friends. Harold�s special friend, Helen Fischer and cousin, Bob Fox both of Camdenton are among countless extended family and friends who have shared Harold�s life. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wives Nancy and Virginia.
