Obituary of Florence I. Morgan

Florence Irene (Moulder) Morgan was born in Camden County, Missouri on September 2, 1910, the fourth of eleven children born to Lonnie and Myrtle Gerhardt Moulder. She passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the age of 98. Florence was married to Ralph L. Morgan on March 7, 1931. They were married for 60 years until his death in 1991. Florence was baptized in 1927 and was a member of Community Christian Church since 1932 and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and held many offices in that organization. Florence attended college in Bolivar and taught at small schools in the Macks Creek area for several years. Florence and Ralph opened and ran several service stations and fuel supply businesses in the lake area including Lake Oil Company which is still a family run business today. They also built and operated Standing Rock trailer park which attracted Airstream trailers from around the country. Florence is survived by her son Carl Morgan and his wife Patricia of Camdenton; two grandsons Kerry Morgan and his wife Claire of St. Charles, Phil Morgan and his wife Toni of Camdenton; three great grandchildren, Dylan Morgan, Alexandra Morgan, and Anna Morgan; one sister, Mayme Woodall of Macks Creek; along with many nephews and nieces. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one grandson, three brothers and six sisters.
