Obituary of Joan K. Budke

Joan K. Budke, age 77, of Osage Beach, Missouri, formerly of Glendale, California, passed away peacefully to be with Christ, her family by her side, on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at St. John�s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the cherished wife of 53 years of Donald W. Budke, and the wonderful mother of Susan (Mike) Ihli, Barbara (George) Grimes and David (Jeanne) Budke. Joan had 8 grandchildren, Zach and Matt Ihli, Sarah, Jake & Joe Grimes and Kaitlyn, Daniel & Will Budke. She is also survived by her loving sister, Doris (Bud) Goehri. Joan was born in Belleville, Illinois on March 20, 1932. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1955 and then retired to Osage Beach, Missouri in 1997. Joan was unwavering in her faith in Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. She was relentless in serving and encouraging others with the hope of Christ, with a gentle, humble heart. She was a dedicated volunteer and leader in groups such as: Bible Study Fellowship, Young Life, Meals on Wheels and Lake Regional Hospital.
