Obituary of Lee B. Steinhardt

Lee Benedict Steinhardt, age 70, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at his home. He was born May 12, 1939 in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, a son to Walter and Shirley (Adams) Steinhardt. Lee joined the United States Navy where he served in Vietnam. Lee was united in marriage on December 30, 1966, to Mary Campbell in Winchester, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2004, in Camdenton. He later married Ellen Moss on February 17, 2006. Lee was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Greenview and the American Legion Post in Hurricane Deck. He was a self employed carpenter for many years, working from Alaska to Missouri. He lived a good life among family and friends, and in his spare time, Lee enjoyed hunting and fishing, and building things daily in his shop. He also enjoyed gardening and reading God�s word. Lee is survived by his wife, Ellen Steinhardt of the home; son, Edward Steinhardt of Key West, Florida; a daughter, Ruth Williams and husband Chet of Jacksonville, Florida; son, Walter Steinhardt and wife Heather of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter, Sarah Conner and husband Steven of Eldon, Missouri; son, Frank Steinhardt and wife Janet of Eldon, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, Patrick, Brittany, and Jenna Williams, Autumn and Elonn Steinhardt, Faith and Destiny Gorman, Kyle E. , Sarah J. and Jennifer Conner, Hailey and Javan Steinhardt and Tasha Exidenine; one sister, Mary Evans and husband Bob of Stoutland, Missouri and one brother, Johnny Steinhardt, along with many other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Mary, and one brother, Jerry. Lee was a loving, father, grandfather, and brother and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate the life he lived and will cherish the memories he created for his family and friends.
