Obituary of Betty Dailey

Betty Dailey, age 80, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 at her residence in Camdenton. She was born July 7, 1929 in Huntington, West Virginia, a daughter to James William, Jr. and Era Lucille (Smith) Hagley. Betty was united in marriage on February 2, 1950, in Zanesville, Ohio to Dr. William (Bill) Dailey, who preceded her in death on December 17, 2001. Betty loved to read and write and was a member of the Writer�s Guild and Book Club through the Camden County Library. She also enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Garden Club. Betty was an active member of the Camdenton United Methodist Church where she served as Church Historian. In her spare time she loved to golf, ride ATV�s and travel. More than anything, Betty enjoyed spending time with family. Betty is survived by three sons, Jon Curtis Dailey of Bangor, Maine, Scott Wayne Dailey of Falcon, Colorado and Douglas Don Dailey and wife Karen Jo of Vancouver, Washington; one brother Norman E. Hagley of Grandbury, Texas; two sisters, Mary Lou Smith of Charleston, West Virginia and Wanda Hagley of Zanesville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Michael, Kortney, Nikki, Meredith and Corey along with several other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill; one brother, Billy Lee and one sister, Pattie Ann.
