Obituary of Phyllis Sue Wolf
Phyllis Sue Wolf, age 64, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the Lake Ozark Retirement Center in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Phyllis Sue Wolf was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on November 5, 1944, the first of three children born to Wynola and M. Sgt. Martin Taylor.
Surviving are her mother, Wynola Taylor of Lawton, Oklahoma; her husband of forty-seven years, Larry of Lake Ozark, Missouri; daughter, Natalie Hunt of Gilbert, Arizona; son, Keith Wolf and wife Traci of Cumming, Georgia; grandchildren, Kayla and Kristopher Hunt of Gilbert, Arizona; uncles, J.D. Morrison and wife Ingrid of Bethany, Oklahoma, and Keith Morrison and wife Shirley of Edmond, Oklahoma; aunt Deldras Dye and husband Dave of Lakewood, California; sisters-in-law, Mickey Casey and husband Virgil of Dupo, Illinois, and Betty Eardley and husband Sonny of St. Peters, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Bill Wolf and wife LuAnn of Waterloo, Illinois, Jim Wolf of Dupo, Illinois and Carl Wolf of Hazelwood, Missouri; many cousins, nieces and nephews and a great-great niece, Alexa Reed; her best friends, Carolyn Loraine and family; Kathy Mayer and family and many other friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her father, M. Sgt. Martin H. Taylor; and her brothers, James and Michael Taylor.
Sue met Larry in Taiwan. She was an Army Brat and he was in the Air Force. They were married in Sacred Heart Church in Dupo, Illinois on April 28, 1962. While in Taiwan, Sue found her loves; Larry and the Chinese culture. For the rest of her life, Sue would learn and explore the history of the Chinese people. Chinese cooking became a hobby that she shared with family and friends. Her thirst for knowledge made her an avid reader, writer and history buff.
Sue�s spirituality started growing years ago and she joined the Catholic Church in 1963. Through the years, her reading and research of other religions increased her spirituality, understanding and respect for others. Sue was active in her faith community at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. She was the 1st President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council #9273.
Sue is in her Heavenly home now and will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
