Obituary of Madeline Filliung

Madeline Magadell Filliung Nee Otto, had lived in Henderson, Nevada since October 2005. She was formerly of Camdenton, Missouri. Our precious Lord took her hand to lead her home on Saturday, September 5, 2009, at the TLC Care Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 99. Madeline was born December 16, 1909 in Roseland, Illinois, the daughter of John and Madeline Otto. She was one of six children. Her first job was at age 15, as a switchboard operator. She received Jesus and became a member of Bethany Church in Illinois at an early age. She married Frederic Joseph Filliung on August 22, 1930. To this union three daughters were born. She lived with her husband and daughters in Dalton, Illinois until 1948 when they moved to Norwood Park, Illinois. In 1950, a farm was purchased off Lake Road 5-81 in Camdenton, Missouri, named �Hidden Valley Ranch.� While living in Illinois she was a member of the local craft and garden club. She was on the bowling league in Des Plaines for many years. When Frederic died in July, 1966, she became a volunteer at the local hospital. She worked at an old fashioned candy store for 10 years before moving back permanently to the farm in 1985. Madeline is survived by her two daughters; Joann Mae Martens and Cherie Drew Wiater; two son�s-in-law; James D. Wiater and Donald D. Trandum; ten grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren and twenty one great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frederic Joseph Filliung(July 29, 1966); her daughter, Madelyn Adele Trandum(March 25, 1995); her son-in-law Ronald Charles Martens(March 27, 2009); one great-grandchild and one great-great grandchild. They were all dearly loved by the family. Madeline (MAD, Momma, Grams, Grandma Cookies) will be lovingly remembered by all!
