Obituary of Doris Murphy

Doris Brewster Murphy, age 82, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2009 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Doris was born August 2, 1927, in Rutherford, New Jersey, a daughter to William and Fanchon (Haden) Brewster. She was united in marriage in August of 1979 to Zane Murphy, who preceded her in death. Doris was a graduate of Princeton University where she received her bachelor�s degree in education, majoring in English. Doris was an Insurance Agent in the Camden County area for many years and was well thought of in the profession. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, boating, quilting and collecting light houses. She also loved to golf at Lake Valley Country Club in Camdenton. Doris was a member of the Community Christian Church of Camdenton. �She was a loving mother and caring wife.� Doris is survived by four sons, James Hodshon and wife Carolyn of Linn Creek, Missouri, Pete Hodshon of Tucson, Arizona, Fred Hodshon of Orange County, California and Rorry Murphy and his wife Cheryl of Lee�s Summit, Missouri; one daughter, Lyndia Hallock-Metgner and her husband Dan of Overland Park, Missouri; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, William Henry Brewster of Florida, along with several other relatives and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Zane.
