Obituary of Thomas E. Pile

Thomas E. Pile, age 70, of Roach, Missouri passed away Monday, September 28, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis Missouri. Tommy was born on January 27, 1939 in Preston, Missouri, a son of Cleo Thomas and Lela (Cook) Pile. Tommy was married on October 14, 1958 to Wanda Morgan in Hermitage, Missouri. Tommy served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy, retiring after serving 23 years. He then went on to work for and retiring from The Boeing Company in St. Louis, Missouri after 21 years. He was an avid sports fan, watching the K.C. Chiefs, MU Tigers and the St. Louis, Cardinals. He also enjoyed working on cross word puzzles. Tommy was a very giving person, always thinking of others before himself. Tommy is survived by his wife, Wanda Pile of the home; three children, Denise Kay Hopkins and husband Matthew, of St. Charles, Missouri, Tamara Jill Pile, of Springfield, Missouri, and Joseph Lee Pile, of St. Charles, Missouri; one sister, Jean Byrd, of Warsaw, Missouri; three grandchildren, Daniel Lee Pile, Joshua Thomas Pile and Michelle Elizabeth Page; one great granddaughter, Natalie Nicole Pile, along with several other relatives and friends. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents.
