Obituary of Jack M. Edwards
Jack Myler Edwards, age 82, of Tuscumbia, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Jack was born January 7, 1927 to John and Minnie (Bilyeu) Edwards in Tuscumbia, Missouri.
He married Maudine (Dean) Hawkins of Brumley, on October 25, 1947 where they resided in Tuscumbia all their 62 years of marriage.
Jack graduated from Tuscumbia High School and served in the United States Army. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His passion in life was his beautiful farm and garden that he was so proud of with his beloved wife and children. He was looking forward to being honored as the first person to cross the new bridge in Tuscumbia scheduled to be open the fall of 2010. It would have been the third bridge over the Osage River in Tuscumbia that Jack would have traveled over.
Survivors include: his wife, Maudine (Hawkins) Edwards; one son, Dennis Jack Edwards and his wife Becky of Eldon, Missouri; two daughters, Debbie Ann Edwards of Kansas City, Missouri and Terrie Jean (Edwards) Arnold of Jefferson City, Missouri; four grandchildren, David Edwards, Darrin Edwards, Eric Arnold and his wife Nikki and Berkley (Arnold) Silvey and her husband Jerod; two great grandchildren, Noel Edmonds and Remy Jack Arnold; two sisters, Doris (Edwards) Wyrick and Mary Edwards Groves and her husband Lloyd.
He was also survived by many beloved nephews, nieces, a sister-in-law and brothers-in-law and many close friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Minnie (Bilyeu) Edwards; parents-in-law, Roy and Sue (Jones) Hawkins; grandson, Shaun Michael Arnold; his sister, Eileen (Edwards) Snodgrass and brothers-in-law.
