Obituary of Pauline Castor

Pauline Castor, age 94, passed away Friday, December 4, 2009, at her son�s home in Camdenton, Missouri. Pauline was born on July 8, 1915, in Houston, Missouri to Fred and Laura Shelton. She was united in marriage to Ona Castor on February 17, 1936, in Houston, Missouri. To this union was born one son, Freddie Castor. Ona and Pauline lived in Houston for many years. After Ona�s death in 1988, Pauline moved to Camdenton in 1993 to be near her family. Pauline accepted the Lord as a young girl and was baptized in a creek on her childhood farm. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Houston. Until her health failed, she attended church at New Home Baptist in Camdenton. Pauline worked for many years at the Ben Franklin Store in Houston. Later, she worked as a cook in the Texas County Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Pauline always enjoyed and looked forward to visiting with her family and neighbors. One of her greatest loves was spending her summer and Christmas vacations with grandchildren. After moving to Camdenton, she was able to enjoy time with her great grandchildren and in the recent years, was blessed with three great- great grandchildren. Pauline loved to cook and always had a pot of coffee and apple pie ready, hoping friends or neighbors would stop by. Pauline is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Freddie and Sue Castor, of Camdenton; two granddaughters, Beverly Crow and husband Bob of Hartsburg and Kelly Brown and husband Bobby of Camdenton; four great grandchildren, Travis Brown and wife Heather, Crystal Brown, Shelby Crow and Taylor Crow; three great-great grandchildren, Coral Brown, Chesney Brown and Dylnn Grown; ine sister, Gladys Durham of Houston; one sister-in-law, Neva Shelton, of Ava, Missouri along with several other relatives and many friends. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Laura Shelton; her husband, Ona; three brothers, Alva, Mitch and Milburn Shelton; one sister, Hazel Gentry; and one grandson, Bruce Castor.
