Obituary of George N. Denny

George Nicholas Denny, Sr., age 77, of Rocky Mount, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Lake Ozark Retirement Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. George was born March 5, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son to Roy Jackson and Margaret Mary (Fredric) Denny. George joined the United States Army and served his country proudly, serving in the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Joan Branson on November 8, 1952 in Page Dale, Missouri, and to this union five children were born. George was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri. In his spare time he enjoyed water skiing, fishing and hunting, and playing bingo. George is survived by his wife Joan of the home; three sons, George Jr., of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Larry of Lake Ozark, Missouri, and Steven and his wife Linda of Hampton, Virginia; two daughters, Vicki Long of Republic, Missouri and Angela Kaltenbach and her husband Dave of High Ridge, Missouri; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Denny of St Charles, Missouri; Tim Denny and his wife Pat of Wildwood, Missouri and Fred Denny and his wife Jeri of Irvin, California; two sisters, Betty Mendell of Lakeland, Florida and Ann Denny of Florissant, Missouri, along with several other relatives and friends.
