Obituary of June E. Blackburn

June E. Blackburn, age 74, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010, at the Osage Beach Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. June was born July 31, 1935 in Springfield, Missouri, a daughter to Harry and Elizabeth (Trotter) Hughes. She was united in marriage to Robert Blackburn on August 31, 1956 in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1988. June was a cook at the Eagar Beaver Restaurant in Eldon, and was know to make the best pies. She always looked forward to the holidays and she loved playing skip-bo. June is survived by two sons, Skipper Blackburn of Eldon, Missouri and Bill Colson of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Rita Ruthuford and her husband Roger of Osage Beach, Missouri; sister-in-law Pauline Colvin of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren, along with several other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert.
