Obituary of Shelby Dean Goins

Shelby Dean Goins, age 69, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at St. John�s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. Shelby was born February 2, 1940 in Gatewood, Missouri, a daughter to Elmer and Anna (Bellah) Reed. She was united in marriage on June 28, 1959, in Myrtle, Missouri, to Richard Goins. Daughters, Kelley and Karen fondly remember that �Mom and Dad had been sweethearts since 6th and 7th grades.� Shelby is survived by her husband, Richard �Dick� Goins, of the home; two daughters, Kelley Rogers and her husband, K. Clayton, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Karen McDonald and her husband, Jamie, of Springfield, Missouri; two grandsons, Casey Reed Rogers and Cameron Taylor Rogers, both of Camdenton; one sister, Sylvia Schlake and her husband, Robert, of Doniphan, Missouri; her mother-in-law, Margaret Goins of Thayer, Missouri; two special sisters-n-law, Dulcie Couillard of St. Charles, Missouri, and Emma Lea Skelley of Thayer, Missouri; her very special nephew Russell Dale Tanner, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; along with several other relatives and many friends. Shelby was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Reva Tanner. Shelby had been a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Camdenton, since 1966. In her spare time she loved to cook and work out in the yard. Shelby enjoyed playing golf and bridge with her family and friends. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandsons Casey and Cameron. Shelby always put her family and friends first.
