Obituary of Gary Wayne Park

Gary Wayne Park, age 73, of Camdenton, Missouri, formerly of Kansas City, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2010 in Camdenton. Gary was born February 4, 1936, in Kansas City, Kansas, a son to William and Thelma (Ganson) Park. He was united in marriage to Daisy Wiggins on August 22, 1964. Gary served his country proudly as he joined the United States Navy in 1963. Gary had worked for the Kansas City Star from 1957 to 1981. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, and Big Band music. Gary was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife Daisy of the home; sons, Gary Meggs, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Mark Meggs of Camdenton; one daughter, Wendy Fritz, and husband Augie, of Camdenton; two brothers, Willie Park, and wife Beverly, of Kansas, and Terry Park of Kansas City, Kansas; one sister, Betty Lowe of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren, John Fritz, Nathaniel Davis, Quentin Davis, Tony Meggs, Sarah Meggs, Aaron Meggs, Kyle Meggs and Randy Meggs; along with several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gary will be greatly missed, and will always remain in our hearts forever.
