Obituary of Jack Allen Bennett

Jack Allen Bennett, age 63, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Monday night, March 1, 2010, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Jack was born January 2, 1947, in Fredericktown, Missouri, a son to Loy and Vera (Owens) Bennett. He was formerly married to Beverly Koehler of Roach, Missouri. Jack attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri from 1964-1968. There he graduated Magna Cum Laude and Tulit Primam, receiving his B.A. in speech dramatic arts with a minor in business. Jack received his M.A. in May 1972 and his Ph.D. in October 1973 from the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. There he majored in American rhetoric and public address - speech communication, with a secondary emphasis in speech education. In May 1981 Jack received his Juris Doctorate at the University of Missouri, School of Law, Columbia, MO. During the years of January 1983 thru 1990, Jack was the assistant prosecuting attorney of Camden County, Missouri. Judge Jack Bennett served as the Associate Circuit Court Judge from January 1990 thru February of 2010. In his spare time Jack loved to hunt, fish, golf, kayak down the rivers and climb the mountains of Colorado and Arizona with his family and friends. Jack is survived by his two daughters; Dawn and her husband Chester Casida, of Platte City, Missouri, and his two grandsons Cory and Tyler Hendrickson, and Shana and her husband Tim Thompson of Linn Creek, Missouri and his two grandsons Grant and Garrison. Jack also has several surviving relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Beverly J. Rehkop.
