Obituary of Freeman Ecks

Freeman Ecks, age 87, of Brumley, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, March 22, 2010, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born April 24, 1922, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Corwin and Naomi (Beaven) Ecks. Freeman was united in marriage on April 25, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Bettie Dollar, and together they had shared the past 56 years, until his death. Freeman had served his country proudly in the United States Marines. He later worked for and retired from American Can Co., after thirty years of employment in quality control. Freeman is survived by his wife Bettie, of the home; one son, Terry Ecks, of St. Louis, Missouri; one daughter, Machele Larson, and her husband, Mel, of Brumley, Missouri; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, along with several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Denise Hessler.
