Obituary of Berla Dee Osborn

Berla Dee (Jackson) Osborn, passed away on April 2, 2010, at the age of 96 years and 4 months, at the Dallas County Care Center in Buffalo, Missouri. Berla was born on December 16, 1913 to Marshall Logan and Mary Lee (Cobb) Jackson at the Jackson farm near Macks Creek, Missouri. She was the last surviving of eight children; Otis Jackson, Clyde Jackson, Otha Burgess, Etha Lynch, Sherman Jackson, Ruth Skinner and Laverne Jackson. Berla is survived by two daughters, Marilyn and Glen Eidson, of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Linda and Don Worthington, of Pittsburg, Missouri; four granddaughters, Bethany and Dennis Henderson, Angela and Robert Kenney, Pam and Steve Bradam, and Trenda and Matt Somers; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. At sixteen years of age, Berla was saved and baptized in the creek at Macks Creek. She remained a member of Macks Creek Baptist Church. On July 4, 1933, she married Feaster Bonner and to this union two daughters were born. On March 17, 1957, she married Wayne Osborn. They shared forty four years before his passing in 2001. She and Wayne enjoyed traveling and had many happy trips across the states. Earlier she loved to read, embroidering, and making gifts for her family. Her summer flowers and humming birds were enjoyed each year. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved to see the little children enjoy her gifts. Berla moved to Bolivar after Wayne�s passing and lived by herself until June 2008, when she then moved to assisted living in Buffalo, Missouri for 20 months. In March 2010, she moved to Dallas County Care Center.
