Obituary of Alpha Jane Hunt

Alpha Jane (Janie) Hunt, age 72, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at St John�s Health Care in Springfield, Missouri. Janie was born August 25, 1937, in Cabool, Missouri, a daughter to Ada (Ray) Hanks. Janie is survived by her three sons; Tom Hunt of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lynn Hunt and his wife Peggy, of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Alfred Hunt and his wife Rene, of Macks Creek, Missouri; two daughters, Lisa McGuire and her husband Doug, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Terry Barclay and her husband Jeff, of Urbana, Missouri; twenty two grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, as well as several other relatives and friends. Janie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billie Joe Hunt, and one son Billy Joe, Jr. Janie confessed her faith in Christ, and was saved at an early age. She attended Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. On August 30, 1952, Janie was united in marriage to Billie Joe Hunt and to this union six children were born. They shared 49 years together before his passing in 2001. Janie loved spending time with her friends Wanda and Frieda. She spent many happy times with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved playing cards, quilting, and going to Casinos, and dancing. Her home was always open to friends and family. Janie had a full life raising her children and grandchildren. She will be in our hearts forever.
