Obituary of Franklin Linton

Franklin Linton, Jr., passed away on April 13, 2010, at the age of 79 years, 6 months, at his home in Macks Creek, Missouri. Frank was born on October 2, 1930, in Stella, Missouri. He is survived by his sisters, Peggy Clopp and Ruth Wilkerson, and his brother, Donald Linton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruby Linton; one sister, Vera Scott; and his two children, Connie Diann Linton and Jeffrey Roger Linton. Frank is survived by his wife Joan; his children, Sharon Linton, of Macks Creek, Missouri, Russell Linton, of Macks Creek, Missouri, Frank Linton III, and wife, Julie, of Macks Creek, Missouri, Dirk Linton, and wife Amy of Macks Creek, Missouri, Daniel Linton, and wife Betty Ann, of Macks Creek, Missouri, Christina and Michael Lynn, of Osage Beach, Missouri, Jason and Jessica Linton, of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Karena Linton, of Roach, Missouri; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; along with several nieces and nephews. Frank joined the United States Army on June 11, 1951 and was honorably discharged after having served in the Korean War. Frank and Joan married on May 13, 1954, in Tunas, Missouri. Their first child was born there, and at the age of two, they moved to California. They completed their family, and after 35 years there, retired back to Missouri where he raised his cows and grew an olympic sized garden. Frank always enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He also loved watching �Cowboys and Charlie� western movies. He loved living in Missouri, and enjoyed fishing, and listening to live music.
