Obituary of Thomas Wayne Reinhart
Tom Reinhart, age 73, of Four Seasons, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at St. Mary�s Health Center, surrounded by his family.
Tom was born on June 14th, 1937 to Walter and Violet Vorwerk Reinhart in Higginsville, MO. He lived a number of places in his life, ultimately retiring to Lake of the Ozarks in 2000. Tom was graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in industrial engineering in 1961. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and a life-long Missouri Tiger fan.
Tom was employed by Johnson Controls most of his career, only taking a break from 1979 through 1988 to pursue his entrepreneurial spirit and run his own business in Tulsa, OK. He retired from Johnson Controls in 2000 and he and Jan moved to Four Seasons to enjoy lake living full time. Never one to take life easy, shortly after moving to the lake Tom was elected as a Trustee for the Village of Four Seasons. He was instrumental in the building of the hiking and biking trail in the village, in adding two playgrounds, and was looking forward to the opening of the bark park that is currently under construction. He was a lifetime member of Rotary International and enjoyed golf, reading, red wine and long dinners full of robust conversation with his family and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Violet Vorwerk Reinhart. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janice Esser Reinhart, his children, Paige Schuler of Colorado Springs, CO, Tracy Miller of Overland Park, KS, and Leigh Reynolds of Kansas City, MO, as well as his grandchildren, Zachary and Delaney Schuler, Nicole Miller, Jackson and Tessa Reynolds, and his sixth grandchild to be born in November. He is also survived by his sister, Mariella Kelley of Kokomo, IN.
