Obituary of Lillian Earl Moore

Born Lillian Earl Eddins on September 20, 1916 in Pilot Grove, Missouri to her parents Elmo and Gladys Eddins. She departed this life on August 2, 2010 at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach, Missouri. She lived in the Kansas City, Missouri area during her school years, where she graduated from Central High School, class of 1934. In 1936 she married Roy T. Moore and moved to Illinois. In 1948 they were divorced and she moved to the Portland Oregon area where she worked for Multnomah County as a children�s librarian. At this time she also enjoyed many activities including hiking and mountain climbing. In 1972 she returned to Missouri to help her son and daughter-in-law with their newly acquired Snug Harbor Resort. Her hobbies and activities continued including calligraphy, quilting, and bonsai trees. She was married to Howard Vance during this time until his death. In 1989 she retired and moved to John Knox Village in Lee�s Summit, Missouri. She continued to keep active with much travel and many hobbies. In 2006 she had a stroke and has been in various skilled nursing facilities since that time. She is survived by; Son and Daughter-in-law, Larry and Carolyn Moore of Osage Beach; Brother and Sister-in-law, Roger and Betty Jo Eddins of Camano Island, Washington; Niece and Nephew, Linda Thacker and Randy Luscombe of the Kansas City area; Granddaughter and Grandson-in-law, Michelle and Mikel Burks of Warsaw, Missouri; Grandchildren, Jack Hogan, Nick Hogan, Sydney Fielder, Payton Fielder all of Springfield, Missouri, and Hunter Burks of Warsaw, Missouri. The family will gather at New Hope Cemetery, at a later date, for a private celebration of this remarkable life.
