Obituary of Robert Schlueter

Robert �Bob� Earl Schlueter, age 90, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. Robert was born November 30, 1919, in Fresno, California, the son of Albert and Florabelle (Wilson) Schlueter. Robert was united in marriage to Irene Riley in 1943 in New York City. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 serving in World War II. Robert worked as a counselor for the California State Department of Rehabilitation. He enjoyed stamp collecting and was an avid golfer. More than anything, he loved his family and spending time with them. Robert is survived by his wife Irene, of the home; sons, Robert Schlueter, Jr., and his wife, Nancy, of Lincoln, California, Stanley Riley Schlueter and his wife, Linda, of Henderson, Nevada; one daughter Sharon Maples of Lake Ozark, Missouri; six grandchildren, Lorie Shrayer, Mindy Schlueter, Kelli Schlueter, Barbara Maples, Lisa Maples and D.W. Maples; four great- grandchildren, Logan, Katlyn, Ricco and Lauren, along with several other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Albert. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, September 16, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. Full Military honors will be conducted by Zack Wheat Post 624, Sunrise Beach, Missouri.
