Obituary of Jeffry A. Amsbaugh

Jeffry Alan Amsbaugh, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, was born December 1, 1947 in Bryan, Ohio to Richard L. Amsbaugh and Jean L. Renner. He departed this life on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. He is survived by two sons, Christopher Amsbaugh of Madisonville, LA, and Kyle Ferris Amsbaugh of Midvale, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jeff attended Defiance College and attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He was an avid sailor and a Merchant Marine Officer for the U.S. Coast Guard, and was certified as a Master of Coastal Steam and Motor Vessels. He was also a licensed Captain to navigate passenger carrying vessels and did so for many years in Virginia and Florida before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1997. Jeff worked as maintenance manager for the Rockwood Resort Motel in Lake Ozark from 1999 until his passing. Jeff was a very thought provoking conversationalist. His wit and intelligence was why people loved to visit and share experiences with him. He will be truly missed by his many friends and acquaintances.
