Obituary of James Davidson

James �Jim� Davidson III, son of James Franklin and Helen Melker Davidson was born November 23, 1937 in Hannibal, Missouri. He departed this life with an awesome battle on September 18, 2010 in his home, surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James Franklin Davidson IV, and his sister, Mollie Jones. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He attended the University of Missouri, where he played football for his Uncle, Don Faurot. Jim had worked in sales most of his life. He is survived by two daughters, Leah Davidson, of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Angie Davidson, of Hannibal, Missouri; three sons, Glenn Davidson and wife, Julie, of Southlake, Texas, David Davidson and wife, Lisa, of West Des Moines, Iowa and Ryan Davidson of Lake Ozark, Missouri; his beloved companion, Phyllis Davidson, of Osage Beach, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Shawna Strachan, Marah Stotler, Danielle and Ericka Davidson, Drew and Garett Davidson, Josh Ritter, Jay and Corea Davidson and one great-granddaughter, Julia Ritter; his brother, Charles Davidson and wife, Mary Jo, of Monroe City, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Jim was raised in Hannibal, Missouri and in his later years moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. His passion was watching M.U. football and being a great neighbor. All the Davidsons were die hard M.U. fans. Jim touched many lives with his sense of humor and of course those blue eyes!! He enjoyed traveling with Phyllis and being close friends to Mark and Mary Raming. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jim had a saying that all would appreciate��If you are going to go out, you better have fun, or don�t go out at all!!�
