Obituary of John Michael Ehret

John Michael Ehret, age 67, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, January 27, 2011, at his residence in Osage Beach. John was born April 19, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Herman and Caroline (Watz) Ehret. He was united in marriage on May 21, 1966 in St. Louis, to Sandy Brooks, and together they had shared the past 44 years until his death. John had served his country proudly in the National Guard. He worked for Anheuser Busch Bottling Company in St. Louis and was a member of the Bottlers Local Union 1187. John was a great musician and played in groups all around the lake area. He was very talented in many areas and among those, enjoyed working in carpentry. In his spare time he loved fishing and loved having fish fries. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Osage Beach. John was a great father, husband and brother and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. John is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; his son, Michael Ehret; his daughter, Paula Fischer, and husband Jerry; one grandchild, Alexa Fischer; his mother, Caroline Ehret; sisters, Carol Crouse-Whitsett and husband, Larry and Kathleen Politte and husband, Raymond; mother-in-law, LaVerne Brooks; brother-in-law, Clarence Brooks and wife, JoAnne; along with several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
