Obituary of Bob Duane Slack
Bob Duane Slack, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, spent his final days surrounded by family until he peacefully entered Christ�s Kingdom on Wednesday, February 23 at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Osage Beach, MO.
He was born on October 10, 1941, in Spring Grove, MO, to Claude and Rowena Slack. After he graduated from Buffalo High School, Buffalo, MO, he married Lois Slack, his wife of almost 50 years and moved to Kaiser, MO. He worked as a store manager for Carl�s Market in Osage Beach, MO for 31 years. Bob was probably known best for the time he spent at Carl�s Market where he made everyone feel welcome with a kind word and his jovial nature.
He was an avid gun enthusiast and sportsman who was passionate about his family. You could often find him cheering on his MO Tigers and other favorite sports team from his armchair/courtside seat. He took great pride in his work and everything he did which made him respected and well revered in the community. One of Bob�s favorite past times was woodworking. He built many pieces of furniture for family and friends, including toy boxes for his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Rowena Slack of Buffalo, MO.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Slack of Kaiser, MO; two sons and their spouses, Jay and Samantha Slack of Springfield, MO, Tony and Renee Slack of Lake Ozark, MO; three grandchildren, Bailee and Skyler Slack of Lake Ozark, MO, Emma Slack of Springfield, MO; stepmother, Martha (Hyde) Slack of Buffalo, MO; sisters, Maxine Pinkley of Hermitage, MO, and Claudine Bass of Buffalo, MO; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
