Obituary of Bertha Louis Sallee

Bertha Louise Sallee, 82, of Linn Creek, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Bertha was born August 5, 1929 in Adair County, Missouri, the daughter of Paul and Josie (Osborne) Sallee. She lived and raised her family in the Kirksville, Missouri area until 1999 when she moved to Linn Creek. Bertha is survived by her husband Willard Kelsey and two daughters, Vickie Baldwin and husband, Steve, of Linn Creek, Missouri, and Patty Weeks and husband, Sheldon, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; six grandchildren: Rebecca Dautenhahn and her husband Jon; Paul Baldwin and his wife Amanda; Rachel Starner and her husband Mark; Rachelle Weeks, Roxanne Weeks, and Renae Weeks; great- grandchildren Levi, Lucas, and Nathan; as well as several other relatives and friends. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters, and one daughter, Martha Hansen. Bertha was retired from Standard Register. She loved to be with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed working in the garden, loved playing cards and caring for her two dogs and cat. Bertha was very active her whole life, until an automobile accident in March, 2012.
