Obituary of Helen Iola Smith

Helen Iola Smith, age 86, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Helen was born May 17, 1926, near Brazito, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Cora (West) Miles. Helen was united in marriage on December 21, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wayne Robert Smith and together they lovingly shared 67 years until his death in 2010. Helen was a devoted wife and helpmate to her husband and a loving mother who created a beautiful home for her family and friends. Helen�s church affiliation was non-denominational. She attended services in Kansas City and Springfield over a period of several years and at the Rodden Church of Christ with her husband Wayne for a period of years. More recently she attended Foundation Fellowship Church in Camdenton. She also gathered with the body of Christ many times in a number of three day conferences in Missouri and Arkansas. She received a constant flow of written materials and cassette tapes containing Kingdom of God truths. Helen is survived by her son Mike and his wife, Kathleen of Gladstone, Missouri; daughter Melanie Windels and husband, Ted of Lake Ozark, Missouri; son Craig of Eldon, Missouri; daughter Kim Luca and husband, Joe of Blue Springs, Missouri; and daughter Krissy Gonder and husband Greg of Springfield, Missouri. Helen had fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Cora Miles; her husband, Wayne Robert Smith; her brothers Roy Miles and Bob Miles; and one sister Opal McDaniel.
