During World War II, she worked in San Diego as a riveter on the B-29 aircraft and began her married life to a serviceman. She was a patriotic citizen all her life. She composed and copyrighted a ballad, which was published on a CD with other freedom songs, about the towers falling on 9-11. Both of Rubys sons also served our country; Bill retired after 25 years in the United States Marine Corps and Marley in the United States Navy. Ruby accepted Christ in her life in 1954, through Gladys Porteous and Esther Jones, and retained unconditional faith in her God, living for the day she would enjoy eternal fellowship with Him.
