Obituary of Janice Kay Edwards

Janice Kay Edwards, age 62, of Roach, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri Janice was born December 2, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Betty (Tubbs) Sheltman. She was married on September 2, 1975 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert Edwards and together they shared the past 37 years of marriage until her death. Janice retired after many years of working as an RN in the medical field, and she and Robert moved to the Roach community. Janice enjoyed reading, boating and snow skiing. She tried her hand at golfing but discovered she liked to drive the golf cart better. Janice�s heart was in helping those in need. She had a servant�s heart and in the twelve years she lived in the area, she did just that; serving others. She looked forward to receiving names of four families every Christmas, and being the secret Santa to those families. Janice was a member of First Baptist Church in Camdenton. Janice is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert, of the home; daughter, Angela Cottrell Boswell and her husband, Neal, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and one son, David Cottrell, and his wife, Katrina, of Tulsa Oklahoma; three grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Karen Jacobson.
