Obituary of Betty S. Daake

Betty S. Wilhelmi Daake, age 74, of Linn Creek, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at St. Mary�s Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. Betty was born July 19, 1938 in Springville, Iowa, the daughter of John and Capatola �Lyene� Gibson McShane. Betty was united in marriage to Richard Wilhelmi February 14, 1959 who preceded her in death on July 6, 1995. She later married Fred Daake on April 23, 2005. Betty owned and operated several businesses through the years including restaurants and motels. She was a past member of Hope Lutheran Church in Osage Beach, Missouri and a current member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake Ozark, where she enjoyed being part of the Joy Bible Study group. More than anything, Betty loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Betty is survived by her husband, Fred, of the home; two sons; James Wilhelmi and wife, Diana, of Dameron, Maryland and John Wilhelmi of St. Robert, Missouri; one son-in-law, Eric Olsen; four step-sons; Jeff Daake and wife, Diana, of Mountain View, Missouri; Robert Daake of St. Louis, Missouri, James Daake and wife, Tracy, of Norfork, Nebraska, and Randy Daake and wife, Cheri, of Lafayette, Colorado; one sister, Mary Lou Wurster and husband, Harry, of Ames, Iowa; three grandchildren, Johanna Olsen, Richard Wilhelmi and Sara Wilhelmi; ten step-grandchildren, Kris, Matthew, Jessica, Darlene, Amanda, Tyler, Austin, Magen, Kayla, and Spencer; and two step-great grandchildren, Benjamin and Cassidy along with several other relatives and friends. In addition to her first husband, Richard, Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Jean Olsen; two brothers, Hayward McShane and Dick McShane; and one grandson, Toby Olsen.
