Obituary of Otto D. Elliott
Otto D. Elliott, age 89, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at James River Nursing Center in Springfield, Missouri.
Otto was born December 1, 1923 in Macks Creek, Missouri to Omer and Leona Elliott.
Otto was married to Rosemary D. (Whitworth) Elliott for 64 years before her passing in 2010.
Otto served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946.
Otto and Rosemary moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1947. He was employed at Sealright Manufacturing until 1986 when he retired and moved back to the Lake of the Ozarks. Otto was a great outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a Deacon at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and loved his Church Family dearly. He was a man of enormous faith who prepared himself to walk through the Gates of Heaven his entire life.
Otto is survived by his four children; Wanda and Gary Pittman of Kansas City, Missouri, Dale and Rita Elliott of Springfield, Missouri, Marilyn and Neal Darnell of Springfield, Missouri, and Jenny and Mike Hughes of Camdenton, Missouri. He has 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He has one sister, Dorothy Ellis of Roach, Missouri and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Otto was a friend to many and will be missed by all. He will remain in our hearts forever!
