Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Hitz

Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Hitz, age 72, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Betty was born October 20, 1940 in Stringtown, Missouri, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Loesch) McKinney. Betty was united in marriage to Walter Hitz on November 27, 1960 in St. Charles, Missouri who preceded her in death. Walter and Betty lived in Laddonia, Missouri, farming until they retired to the Lake of the Ozarks. Betty loved reading, gardening, doing puzzles and being with her family. Betty devoted most of her life to taking care of her son, Jeffery, who also preceded her in death. Betty is survived by her daughter Lori Hitz of Osage Beach, Missouri; her son, Jay Hitz of Eldon, Missouri; her mother, Mary McKinney of Wentzville, Missouri; two brothers, Ronald McKinney and wife, Maxine, of Troy, Missouri and Mike McKinney of Laddonia, Missouri. In addition to her husband Walter, Betty was also preceded in death by her father, Kenneth McKinney.
