Obituary of Ruby G. Stephens

Ruby Glenda Stephens, age 87, departed this life Saturday, February 16, 2013 at St Mary�s Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. Ruby was born January 15, 1926 in Parkton, North Carolina, the daughter of Dan and Rosabelle (Jackson) Phillips. Ruby was united in marriage to Wilburn Thomas Stephens. Ruby was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a great homemaker and excellent cook. She loved bowling, boating, gardening, fishing and refinishing furniture. Ruby enjoyed attending Osage Beach First Assembly of God Church. Ruby is survived by two daughters; Rebecca Mayer and husband, Lou, of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Vicky Hiller and her companion Ralph Elliott of Clearwater, Florida; six grandchildren, Jason Hullender and wife, Michelle, Stephanie Helton, Summer Helton, Scott Hiller, Stacie Helton and Rachel Hiller; three great-grandchildren, Ayden Helton, Alex Hullender and Jake Hullender; her sister Louise Reed of Lake Ozark, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well several other relatives and friends. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Rosabelle Phillips; her husband, Wilburn Stephens; one daughter, Jean Helton; one son-in-law, Richard; and five brothers.
