Gary Mack Maher, age 62, of Four Seasons, Missouri conquered death Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at his home in Four Seasons, Missouri.
Gary was born October 31, 1950 in Barnett, Missouri, the son of Raymond and Virginia Maher. He graduated from Eldon High School in 1968 and was inducted into the United States Army April 9, 1970. He served until November 6, 1971. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, two overseas bars, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Sharpshooter M16. He was honorably discharged. He graduated from Lincoln University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science.
Gary committed his life to following Jesus in January, 1978. He married Rhonda Kay Woods May 27, 1978 and became the proud father of an amazing baby boy, Eric Jordan Maher on May 30, 1979. He was ordained in May 1986, and he became the pastor of Christ's Church in June 1995. Gary married the love of his life Christelle Del Mastro on February 15, 1997 in Kaiser, Missouri. He had the privilege and blessing of fathering his second amazing son Samuel Isaac Maher on January 28, 2005. He was faithful and obedient to God. He lived a life of sacrifice for others. His legacy is much more than can be written here. It can be seen in the lives if his children and all he mentored. This man believed God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness.
Gary was preceeded by his parents Raymond and Virginia Maher, and his sister Madalyn Kay Maher. Surviving are his amazing wife Christelle Maher; his handsome sons Eric and Sammy Maher; his brothers Kent, Larry, Terry, Kevin, Mark; and his sisters Carole, Sharon, Sue, Rhonda, and Mary.
