Obituary of Samuel Rutherford

Samuel �Sam� Rutherford, age 78, of Roach, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Sam was born December 19, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of James and Viola (Shaw) Rutherford. He was united in marriage on June 11, 1960 in Columbia, Illinois, to Joyce Fehrmann, and together they shared 52 � years of marriage until his death. Sam had served his country proudly in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. Sam worked in sales for an office supply company for the better part of his career life. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Sam was a loving and devoted husband, a great father and grandfather who will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Sam is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; two daughters, Mindy Dunda and husband, Mike, of Wildwood, Missouri, and Wendy Rutherford-Prater and husband, John, of The Woodlands, Texas; four grandchildren, Kyle Dunda, Sammi Dunda, Kayla Prater and Linzy Prater. Sam was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Janette Rutherford and Jacqueline Rutherford.
