Obituary of Catherine Ann Winters
Catherine Ann Crebo Winters died Thursday morning, August 22, 2013 at her home on the Lake of the Ozarks in Roach, Missouri.
Born on August 17, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri, Cathie was the daughter of Dr. William G. Crebo Jr. and Dorothy Sears Crebo. At the age of 3 she moved to Eureka, Kansas and graduated from Eureka High School in 1960. While in high school she served at the state level for Rainbow Assembly for Girls. A member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, after attending Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, Cathie graduated from Emporia State Teachers College with a teaching degree.
She was a Charter member of Chapter LO PEO sisterhood in Camdenton, Missouri and achieved the status of Golden Girl through 50 years of membership. She was a member of Community Christian Church in Camdenton.
She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Crebo and her brother Richard Sears Crebo. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Guy Allen Winters Jr., two sons, Gary Lee Winters and wife, Melissa, and Guy Allen Winters III, and three daughters Julie Ann Bott and husband J.J., Amy Lynne Winters and Kristen Louise Staats and husband Bobby, and nine grandchildren.
