Obituary of Anna Marie Fowler

Anna Marie Fowler, age 63, of Camdenton passed away on Tuesday October 29, 2013 at Jefferson City, Missouri. Anna was born on July 27, 1950 in Sikeston, Missouri to Virgil and (Vera) Imogene Farris. Anna attended school in Sikeston, Missouri before moving with her family to Fulton, Missouri where she completed her education and graduated from Fulton High School. Following graduation, Anna was employed by the State of Missouri at Fulton State Hospital until 1980. Anna married Dean Fowler, who was a Fulton police officer, on April 15, 1980. They later moved to Arizona when Dean took a job with the federal government and Anna was a police officer. Following several moves due to employment, the family settled at the Lake of the Ozarks where Dean still resides. Anna went back to work for the State of Missouri, where she eventually retired from the Department of Social Services in 2007. Anna loved her family, her home, and her friends. Anna adored her 4 (fur) 'babies'; Lil Abner, Theo, Daisy, and Bunny. She also loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent happy times on the lake with friends and family. Anna loved to read, and had a book started in every room. She especially enjoyed reading her Bible every evening. Anna was preceded in death by her parents. Anna is survived by her husband Dean of 33 years; two daughters, Sandra Fowler of Versailles, Missouri, and Denise Schiefelbein and husband David of Buena Vista, Colorado; two step-daughters, Deanna Gunier and Donna Cobb; two sisters, Rose Barnes and her husband Roll of Millersburg, Missouri, Connie Mustain and her husband Tom of Fulton, Missouri; two brothers, Jack Farris and his wife Barbara of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Larry Farris and his wife Becky of Roach, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Brian, Stephen, Sarah, Anna, Blake, Calla, Michael; four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Adelynn, Devin, Caleb; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
