Obituary of Alberta Pauline Knight

Alberta Pauline Knight, age 83, Columbia, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Lenoir Manor in Columbia, Missouri. Pauline was born February 11, 1930 in Hutchinson, Kansas the daughter of Albert and Irene Danley. Pauline was united in marriage to Leroy Knight on December 24, 1950 in Baldwin City, Kansas, and together they shared 58 years of marriage. Pauline graduated from Baldwin High School in 1948; she attended Kansas University for a brief time. For a time she and Leroy ran a small luncheonette in Iola, Kansas and then another at the corner of High Street in Baldwin City, Kansas. She started working as an operator for United Telephone Company, then going on to work and retire from Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1985. She then resided in Camdenton, Missouri where she enjoyed the peacefulness of lake living, enjoying doing crafts and sewing and was on several bowling leagues. Pauline is survived by two children; Paula Kaye Hall of Columbia, Missouri and Laura Lee Coonce of Des Arc, Missouri; five grandchildren; Ben Kunkler, Rochelle LeMaster, Elizabeth Hall, Timothy Hall and Patrick Hall; four great- grandchildren; five siblings; Barbara Caruthers, Marie Merrifield, Albert Danley, John Robert Danley, and Vern Danley; as well as several other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy, her brother Thomas J. Danley and a sister Ruth Maxine Danley. Visitation will be Friday, November 8, 2013 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Funeral Service will be Friday November 8, 2013, at 1:00 pm. at Hedges Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. Interment will be at Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery in Camdenton, Missouri.
