Obituary of Theodore Bernardo

Theodore �Ted� Bernardo, age 77, of Kaiser, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Ozark Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Osage Beach, Missouri. Ted was born May 5, 1936 in Buffalo, New York, the son of Anthony and Veronica (Flanagan) Bernardo. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1956 thru 1962. Ted was united in marriage on April 23, 1984 in St. Charles, Missouri to Deborah Hufmann and together they shared 29 years of marriage until his death. Ted had worked for many years selling used cars. He was a huge Nascar fan and in particular a Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. Ted also enjoyed spending time on the lake boating. Ted is survived by his wife Deborah, of the home; children Jeff Erting and wife, Dawn, of Kaiser, Missouri, Scott Bernardo of St. Charles, Missouri, Mark Bernardo of San Fernando Valley, California, Shawn Bernardo, and Kim Erting of Lake Ozark, Missouri; one sister, Nancy Smith of Buffalo, New York; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; along with several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Veronica Bernardo; and one sister.
