Obituary of Milton Gray Richey

Milton Gray Richey, age 51, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his residence. Gray was born July 1, 1961 in Snoqualmie, Washington, the son of Daryl and Rose (Most) Richey. Gray graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1980. He then joined the United States Navy and served twenty years before retiring in 2000. Throughout his military career he spent time at many bases and experienced life in several countries including Jacksonville, Florida; Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, California; Oak Knob Navel Hospital in Oakland California; Norfolk, Virginia aboard the USS Lawrence, where he was known as �Lil Doc�; Okinawa; 29 palms, California; Beeville, Texas; Miramar, NAS and other stations. He retired and lived in Byhalia, Mississippi until health reasons prompted him to move to Osage Beach, Missouri to be close to his family. Gray is survived by his mother, Rose Richey; his brother, Shannon Richey; and his niece, Cheyenne, all of Osage Beach, Missouri; along with several cousins in North Carolina and Florida. Gray was preceded in death by his father, Daryl Richey; his half brother, Myron Gregory; both his maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents; and several aunts and uncles. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
